![]() Oh, before I go, I just wanted to say a VERY special THANK YOU to everyone who voted for my “Sunset on Lake Mendota” art quilt that I had entered in the Sunrise/Sunset Project Quilting last week. What do you think? Have you made a Kool Kaleidoscope Quilt? Would you make one? But next time I’d like to try more exciting colors, maybe in batiks. And I want to try it again-maybe using the full 18” pattern size (that ends up 36” x 36”). The book really helped to keep me on track. Not terribly exciting, but it was a “trial” piece, and I used fabrics from my stash that would go with the colors in my livingroom. It’s been sewn together, and here I’m quilting it. I always love, love, love your quilts, but this one is a show stopper I love the way you used white in every other block to create the secondary pattern, I love the colors and your placement of them, and your piecing is inhumanly accurate I've made several kaleidoscope quilts and getting those center points to match that perfectly is no easy.
